A couple of years ago, Sandra Shroff Gnyan Dham School faced several operational challenges.
During this time Devang Desai, who leads their admin and IT operations was on the lookout to simplify these challenges. They tried opting for other solutions like Vidyala and Campus Dean but that didn't help. Things changed after they met with Frappe Partner Greycube, who helped with Frappe's open-source education app.

Customizable Reporting: ERPNext’s flexibility enabled a seamless generation of accurate reports for regulatory compliance, improving transparency and accountability.
Faster Fee Collection: Every month parents will get a simple WhatsApp message as a reminder to pay the fees and a Razorpay link to complete the payment. This helped parents click on the link and make a payment immediately. This automated workflow for fee reconciliation and payment receipts simplified operations for both school administrators and parents, with faster and convenient collections, and simplified reconciliations.
Enhanced Parental Engagement: With the Frappe framework, Grecube helped design a student and parent portal. The introduction of a parent portal provided real-time access to student results, attendance records, fee statements, and more, enhancing communication and satisfaction.
As you can guess it was really hard to move accounting out of Tally however it was said to be on their roadmap soon.
